Lead Auditor - JG

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Travel: 60–80% across India, with occasional international travel

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Management Systems Auditor with an Electrical or Chemical Engineering background to conduct third-party certification audits for clients across industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in ISO management system audits, a strong understanding of audit methodology, and the ability to independently assess compliance, identify nonconformities and prepare audit reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct third-party certification audits, including Stage 1, Stage 2, Surveillance and Recertification audits.
• Assess client compliance with applicable ISO management system standards.
• Review documentation, audit scope, processes and previous audit findings.
• Prepare audit plans, checklists and schedules in accordance with ISO 19011.
• Conduct opening and closing meetings, collect objective evidence and document findings.
• Prepare accurate audit reports and identify nonconformities and opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate professionally with client teams across Quality, EHS, Operations and Management.
• Maintain impartiality, confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Identify potential business opportunities during client interactions.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in third-party certification audits is strongly preferred.
• Experience as a Lead Auditor or Support Auditor, with a clear record of audits conducted.
• Exposure to electrical and electronics manufacturing, power and energy, renewable energy, chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, or other industrial sectors.
  
  

Certifications

• IRCA/CQI Lead Auditor certification in applicable ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
• Candidates who meet the experience requirements and are willing to complete the required certifications before joining may also be considered, subject to the organization's qualification requirements.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards, ISO 19011 and audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client audits.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
  
  

Travel Requirements

The role requires extensive travel across India, approximately 60–80% of working time, with occasional international travel. Candidates must be comfortable conducting on-site and remote audits.
