Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your **software architecture and development** expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside **collaborative and innovative** teammates.

You'll play a critical role in shaping the future of software solutions at Alstom, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient systems. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (**Product Management, Hardware Design, RAMS, V&V teams**), contribute to the definition of build and deployment designs for CI/CD pipelines, and support the integration of software with hardware components, among other responsibilities.

You'll specifically take care of **software architecture design and development**, but also **continuous improvement and technology evolution through innovation**.

We'll look to you for:

  • Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with Product Management
  • Performing high-level software architecture and design
  • Setting up software development toolchains
  • Preparing and performing software module tests and verifications, including designer tests
  • Ensuring configuration management of software work products as per the product Configuration Management Plan
  • Supporting software/software and hardware/software integration, in collaboration with hardware designers
  • Sustaining software and keeping informed of technological advancements through techno-watch
  • Defining build and deployment/release designs for CI/CD pipelines and automating routine tasks
  • Contributing to TIS standardization by reusing or implementing reusable solutions
  • Maintaining strong collaboration with software architects, hardware designers, RAMS, and V&V teams throughout the software design cycle
  • Applying processes and standards while contributing to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process optimization
  • Managing requirements and ensuring traceability

All About You

  • Degree in BE/B.Tech/M.Tech
  • 15 to 20 years of software design and development experience using C#, .NET Core, and Microservices architecture
  • Experience in design and deployment methodology (V cycle, SysML, requirement management)
  • Expertise in C# .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and microservices development
  • Proficiency in performance optimization (async programming, caching), testing (unit testing with xUnit, integration testing), and API design & management (RESTful principles, OAuth2, JWT, Swagger/OpenAPI)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry/Jaeger)
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Vault or Azure Key Vault) and automation (Terraform, deployment strategies)
  • Familiarity with cloud-native design (Azure preferred), scalability, resilience, and cost optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, influence, and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Proven track record as a technical leader with experience managing multiple software programs
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on creating reusable solutions and model-based developments
  • Team player with strong communication skills; prior experience working with European customers is a plus
