Job Description

Primary Job Duties

Perform all duties related to modern arboricultural practices at a high level
Ascend and work aloft safely and efficiently in tree canopies of any size
Utilize SRS and MRS as well as traditional climbing methods
Competent in spur-assisted hazard tree removal
Prune trees to International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) pruning standards
Operate aerial lifts for pruning and tree removal with a high degree of care
Knowledgeable and apt at technical rigging for large limb and tree removal
Capable of performing aerial rescues
Install static and dynamic cabling and bracing systems
Display safe work practices and the proper use of PPE to work in a safe environment
Able to work well with others and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients

Qualifications Required

Minimum 4 years of industry experience
Post-Secondary education related to Arboriculture industry
Excellent client communication and customer service skills
Knowledgeable and capable in modern arboriculture practices and climbing techniques
Can safely operate aerial lifts, brush chippers, stumpers, and chainsaws
A valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract
Working at Heights, WHMIS and First Aid Certification
