Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers and prospects to identify opportunities, define evaluation criteria, and successfully run tool evaluations leading to business conversions.
  • Support deployment of layout tools in customer production environments, ensuring smooth ramp-up and issue resolution.
  • Analyze customer design flows, resolve technical issues affecting project timelines, and propose layout automation solutions.
  • Leverage strong understanding of analog layout fundamentals, Virtuoso techfile constraints, and design rule compliance to guide customers effectively.
  • Perform end-to-end backend analog layout support including top-level floorplanning, complex block-level layouts, physical verification, extraction, and EMIR analysis.
  • Write and maintain skill-based layout automation scripts to optimize customer productivity and ensure design scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and Product Engineering teams for feature enhancement requests, bug reporting, and customer-specific customization.
  • Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions to educate customers on layout methodologies and tool capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (B.Tech preferred)
  • 37 years of hands-on experience in analog layout design and automation

Preferred Technical Expertise:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Cadence Virtuoso layout tools
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced node design rules and techfile constraints
  • Experience with layout automation using Skill scripting language
  • Familiarity with physical verification flows (DRC/LVS) and post-layout simulation tools
  • Working knowledge of EMIR analysis and related physical design constraints
  • Prior exposure to Cadence CustomIC flow, chip-level integration, and signoff methodologies
