The Lead Analytics Specialist will be asked to work closely with leaders on the Reservations team to develop creative solutions to current challenges. We are looking for data curious individuals who seek to understand process and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement.
We are looking for candidates who enjoy thoughtful debates about how strategy, business process improvement, and analytics impact the way Delta reliably serves its customers. Additionally, they will exhibit strategic vision, strong analytical/process skills, a bias for action, and the ability to partner with senior operational leaders to influence strategy, improve the Delta customer experience, improve operational reliability, and drive results.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Reservations teams to identify and solve for opportunities within the division
- Create insightful executive-level and frontline dashboards using data visualization tools
- Develop analytics solutions to divisional challenges and operationalize with modern tool set
- Forecast future operational metrics and work with business unit to include in their planning and execution processes
- Improve the historic processes within the division by implementing data driven solutions
- Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and project development
- Support development of executive level decks and present findings to business leadership
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- 7-12 years of experience in analysis, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, digital operations or related field
- Ability to query data from databases using SQL/Python/AWS and build views for consumption
- Use of data visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI to build dashboards and reporting for business users
- Exposure to forecasting methods to predict future performance and identify trends
- Direct experience communicating with stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end, and working collaboratively to drive improvement in the overall analytical support of Delta operations worldwide
- Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
- Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
