Lead Analyst - Private Equity Fund Accounting

Overview: We are rapidly expanding its PE business and seeks a highly skilled Lead Analyst to manage a team of 12-15 Fund accounting professionals and oversee multiple client engagements. The ideal candidate should i) possess deep expertise in fund accounting and administration (in accordance with US GAAP), ii) demonstrate proficiency with managing end-to-end fund accounting workflows across the fund lifecycle iii) exhibit proven leadership and team management capabilities and iv) excel in leading an offshore fund accounting team in support of the client's needs. This role also requires effective collaboration with the stakeholders on the client's end to ensure seamless delivery and drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

▪ Successfully oversee the end‑to‑end fund accounting workflows including fund setup, capital activity, transaction processing, recordkeeping, NAV calculations, waterfall and distribution processing, GAAP‑compliant quarterly and annual reporting, audit and tax compliance, and ultimately fund wind-down and termination.

▪ Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for multiple private equity clients and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all recurring and ad‑hoc deliverables.

▪ Oversee fund capital raising and closing activities such as recording LP commitments and closing dates, tracking unfunded commitments, and setting up equalization mechanics for multiple closings

▪ Supervise preparation, review and timely e-delivery of capital calls, distributions, and investor notices. Accordingly manage treasury operations including cash management, bank reconciliations, wire processing, and administration of lines of credit.

▪ Manage routine investment processing and record-keeping, including maintaining investment sub-ledger, tracking realized and unrealized investment gains.

▪ Review complex waterfall calculations, management fee computations, fund accrued expenses schedules and carried interest allocations in accordance with LPAs.

▪ Supervise creation of period-end close and financial reporting deliverables, including NAV packages, quarterly/annual financial statements, capital accounts statements, and investor reports

▪ Manage ongoing investor servicing tasks, including maintenance of online investor portals, responding to investor queries, providing ad hoc custom LP reporting among others

▪ Provide audit and tax support to the client by liaising with clients external auditors and tax advisors, reviewing audit and tax workpapers, supporting the preparation and delivery of Schedule K‑1s and other tax‑related investor deliverables.

▪ Assist in fund wind-down and termination activities, including final asset sales and distributions, final carry true-ups and clawback testing, closing capital accounts, final audit and tax filings, and dissolving fund entities.

▪ Lead onboarding and migration of new client engagements, including historical data transition and system implementation. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting quality through process improvement and automation.

Experience & Skills

▪ Minimum of 8+ years experience in fund accounting (in accordance with US GAAP), particularly related to Private Equity/Venture Capital or Partnership Fund Accounting with at least 2 years in a managerial/lead role.

▪ Working knowledge of accounting and reporting software for Private Equity funds (e.g. Investran, E-Front, Dynamo Microsoft Dynamics GP among others) is highly desirable.

▪ Proven experience in managing end-to-end fund accounting workflows, with an ability to multitask and balance priorities while maintain a high level of attention to detail

▪ Reviewing deliverables to ensure SLA compliance and quality while driving process automation and improvement initiatives.

▪ Ability to overseeing multiple client engagements while leading a team of 10-12 Fund Accounting professionals.

▪ Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
