Job Description

The team is responsible for analytics and delivery strategy across Pricing, Promotion Competitive Intelligence (PPCI) product portfolio. . We work closely with business stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions to Data Intelligent products.

 

Job Summary:

 The Lead Analyst is an individual contributor who collaborates with Product Analytics Manager to deliver impactful, data-driven analytics support to the Pricing Promotions organization.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Data Analysis Insights : The Lead Analyst leverages advanced analytics to analyze data, identify trends, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver actionable insights recommendation to stakeholders
  • Data Management : Gathering, wrangling, and preparing data, ensuring accuracy to enable meaningful analyses while ensuring adherence to analytical best practices
  • Collaboration Leadership : Working with Analysts, Engineers, and Data Scientists to achieve product goals, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to a best-in-class PPCI function.
  • Self-Leadership : Operating effectively within a matrixed organization, demonstrating initiative, and delivering high-quality outcomes independently.

This role requires expertise in retail analytics, advanced statistical techniques, and a proactive approach to developing insights that influence pricing and promotional strategies.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise : Hands-on application of advanced technical and analytical skills to deliver actionable insights recommendations aligned with business strategy requirments.
  • Continuous Learning : Expand knowledge of business solutions, tools, and frameworks; collaborate with peers to broaden skillsets.
  • Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineers, data scientists, PMs) to design and implement scalable, best-practice analytical solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Translate business needs into actionable analytical requirements and serve as a trusted partner for business stakeholders.
  • Innovation Advocacy : Promote future-proof practices and holistic solutions, adopt new tools and techniques, and identify opportunities for enhancing analytical solutions within PPCI.
  • Data Metrics : Ensure accurate data and metrics are established for reporting and decision-making.
  • Self Leadership Mentorship : Guide and mentor team members by refining best practices, fostering skill development, and ensuring effective solution delivery.
  • Best Practice Advocacy : Represent and advocate for analytical best practices with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Years of Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience
  • 4+ years experience in analytical role along with proficiency in Sql Power BI

Required Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor / Master s Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Math or Business

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Hands-on experience working with Enterprise level databases (e.g., Hadoop, Teradata, GCP, DB2)
  • Visual story telling with dashboards in Power Bi, MicroStrategy,Tableau, Superset, Presto
  • Excellent communications skills to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Design and develop processes to gather, explore, structure, enrich, and clean large datasets from various internal and external sources
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across locations
  • Ability to translate complex business problems, goals and objectives into actionable requirements
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams (Business/ Product / Data engineering / Software engineering/ UX) to scope, prioritize and develop solutions that are consistent with delivery roadmap

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Develop, maintain and improve descriptive and predictive analytics models and tools in support of Lowe s Pricing Promotions retail strategy
  • Develop scalable retail test processes for baseline development, measurement and recommendations
  • Perform data validation, outlier detection, and root cause analysis to prepare inputs for statistical and machine learning models
  • Research, design, and develop applicable statistical and ML approaches for specific business problems
  • Assess the quality of model output to identify results vs outliers and investigate root cause through detailed analysis of data inputs and code
  • Relevant experience in retail analytics preferred
