Join a high-visibility, mission-critical team acting as the
central control point for all credit data issues across the organization. As a
Lead Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that reporting teams can operate with full confidence in credit data. You will sit at the intersection of
reporting, systems, data quality, and lending, driving root-cause analysis, defect validation, and resolution coordination.
This is a
foundational role in a fast-growing function with strong executive visibility and a clear path to
enterprise-wide impact.

About The Team
This position is part of the Credit External Reporting team created to support the Large Financial Institution (LFI) reporting requirements, and to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory agencies reporting instructions.

- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of defects to Data Quality and Systems teams
- Help scale a new function that will become enterprise standard

Key Deliverables
Issue Intake & Triage
- Review and assessing incoming issues from reporting teams and stakeholders
- Ensure all issues are properly documented, categorized, and prioritized
- Identify impacted reports, systems, and business processes
Root Cause Analysis & Validation
- Conduct structured investigations into data discrepancies
- Trace issues across data pipelines, systems, and transformations
- Distinguish between:
- Data defects
- System issues
- Business logic or process gaps
- Validate whether issues are true defects vs expected outcomes
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with:
- Systems teams (for pipeline and logic issues)
- Data Quality teams (for data fixes)
- Reporting and lending teams (for business context)
- Translate business problems into technical requirements and vice versa
Defect Classification & Routing
- Classify validated issues into:
- System Fix
- Operational Fix
- Data Quality Fix
- Other
- Ensure proper routing and ownership
- Track issues through resolution lifecycle
Pipeline & Workflow Management
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of validated issues for downstream teams
- Monitor SLA performance and follow through on open items
- Escalate stalled or high-risk issues
Documentation & Reporting
- Document:
- Root cause
- Impact analysis
- Recommended actions
- Contribute to:
- Bi-weekly triage forums
- Status reporting and dashboards
Outreach & Engagement
- Participate in key stakeholder meetings
- Promote awareness of the CIDER function
- Actively identify new issue sources and intake channels
Skills And Qualification
Functional Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, technology and related fields
- Strong analytical reasoning abilities.
- Understanding of credit, risk and financial data environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity, initiative, and adaptability to work in a developing framework with limited preexisting processes.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to coordinate across global and cross-functional teams.
Technical/Business Skills
- Must be SQL and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) proficient, advanced is a plus
- Ability to research and propose reporting or data solutions on complex loan related accounting and reporting issues
- Experience with various reporting platforms (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects) a plus
- Experience solving problems using data and advanced analytic techniques to provide business insights
- Working knowledge of python is considered as good to have
- Possess the ability to resolve data quality challenges and build infrastructure with their technical counterparts to transform data from disparate sources into dashboards that will be used for reporting
- Provide support in making strategic data related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, tracking, internally managing and reporting data
- Drives creative, innovative ways to approach problems, processes and projects
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
