Job Purpose

The role holder is expected lead the Business Technology group in partnering BSLI functions to leverage the latest in technology.

Formulate and implement technology in alignment with BSLI business goals that is intended to provide key competitive advantage and enhanced customer experience.

Formulate and implement technology in alignment with BSLI business goals that is intended to provide key competitive advantage and enhanced customer experience.

Job Challenges: . Align IT Strategy and roadmap to business objectives

. Be a pro-active partner to business and functions

. Influencing CXO'S and business to adapt and adopt new technology.

. Demonstrate ROI and lack of ready use cases for next gen technologies.

. Partnering with business functions to pr-actively mine and discover requirements.

. Availability of skilled / experienced manpower resources to drive the usage of solutions from business perspective.

. Budgetary constraints.

KRA1Formulate and drive the technology solutions strategy in alignment with Business Goals.1. Partner with CXO'S /Business Heads to identify, evaluate and implement business solutions leveraging technology.

2. Co-own business kpi's and targets with business for identified initiatives.

3. Support the CTO in constantly refining and improving the technology solutions strategy and roadmap. Specific emphasis in the areas of SMAC - Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud based technology solutions.

4. Promote technology adaption by constantly scanning the landscape for new technology launches, competition and other industry practises.

5. Design and mange a process to pro-actively mine and discover business needs.

6. Put in place a process to propose solutions and initiatives to business that will increase market share, add revenue, enhance customer engagement and experience, and/ improve efficiency-reduce cost.
KRA2Ensure implementation of Digital Initiatives1. Work closely with Marketing team for creating Digital Roadmap and identifying initiatives thereon

2. Partner with business to drive Cross Sell and Upsell initiatives.

3. Drive Customer Self Service Initiatives by setting targets and monitoring progress regularly

4. Work closely with Marketing for implementing Social Media Tools.
KRA3Ensure Financial Management of the vertical1. Prepares annual budget plans for systems across projects into the foreseeable future.

2. Manage the budget for system(s) - Forecasts systems costs and utilization across projects/ support/ licences etc. and tracks utilization against forecasts.

3. Compares rates and delivery quality across vendors

4. Analyzes cost/benefits, bill rates and utilization across systems and negotiates with vendors on Project commercials to ensure rationalization across vendors

5. Review and track business case-benefits for each of the projects on their system.

6. Addresses elevated billing issues (in case of Fixed Bid projects) whenever they arise.

7. Evaluates commercial aspects of buy-build decisions
KRA4Ensure effective Project Monitoring1. Monitor progress against milestones of Cat A and other major projects.

2. Review high-level design of large modules/ enhancements in systems under purview.

3. Review audit findings and outstanding audit points/closure.

4. Identify and publish best practices across systems - drive adoption of key technologies/best practices across projects.

5. Set priorities for projects wherever conflicting demands from various departments leads to resource crunch

6. Review progress of internal improvement projects with program managers.

7. Review adherence to policies and procedures of the department and organization, with program managers

8. Review key metrics on process/system stability and service levels to user-departments Institutionalize excellence across systems and projects.

9. Review documented procedures and best practices and ensure a relevant knowledge-base is built over time.

10. Pursues excellence in all solutions provided to business
