Key Responsibilities
Familiar with assembly and functions of complete Gas Turbine engines and individual subsystems.
- Experience in Regulatory Compliance to ensure designs meet strict safety and certification standards from aviation authorities.
- Lead conceptualize, design and development efforts for Gas Turbine engines components from fit form and assembly perspective
- Develop and validate 3D CAD models, 2D Engineering Drawings, and design documentation
- Experience in Analysis & Simulation. Model 3D geometry, perform complex thermal, and structural analysis (FEA) to predict component performance, repeatability and reliability.
- Better understanding on Drawings, G&T, FE Analysis [2D/3D, Modal] best practices, Mission profile, Fatigue Life calculation method [LCF and HCF]
- Experience in understanding, evaluating, and validation of CFR requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure components are producible, designing for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
- Lead the team effort to complete all the design tollgate review [CDR, PDR, DDR, CTH etc]
- Participate in engine testing, data analysis, and troubleshoot issues to validate performance as a part of Testing & Validation effort
- Experience in Change in Design (CID) documents creation, evaluation and approval.
- Basic awareness of the metallurgical composition of raw materials and the associated manufacturing processes.
- Analyze variations to engineering drawing specifications which may affect part fit, form, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance stack up analysis, stress analysis, metallurgical issues, NDT, and heat transfer analysis etc.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams:
- Stress and Thermal Analysis for design feasibility and durability
- Manufacturing Engineering for process compatibility
- Material Science for optimal selection and application of advanced alloys/composites
- Identify customer pain points and transform them to offload opportunities
- Drive design-to-cost initiatives—analyze and assess component and system-level cost structures to ensure economic viability.
- Guide design reviews and technical decision-making with clarity and precision.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.

Work Experience
Key Competencies:
- Design of aero engine components, specifically LPT Module and HPC module components.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with global teams in Analysis, materials, and systems engineering to ensure design/repair feasibility and industrialization.
- Understand the Intellectual Property Rights of the components. Should be able to appreciate and respect the patents of components, features, production process and geography. domain wise and geography
- Able to understand and interpret part drawing and manufacturing drawings. Able to understand and read Bill Of Materials.
- Prepares and delivers technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams.
- Ensures thorough documentation and compliance with engineering policies, export control, and IP standards.
- Promote open communication and knowledge-sharing across teams, supporting continuous improvement.
- Understanding in interpretation & application of GD & T
- Understanding high-end manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e., castings, metal cutting, turning, coatings, milling, EDM, welding, sheet metal/composite forming and joining, metal tube bending, castings, metal cutting, turning, coatings, milling, EDM, welding)
- Proficiency of the MS Office Suite with good writing skills

Education & Professional Qualification
- Graduate/ Post-Graduate in Mechanical / Industrial / Aerospace Engineering
- 8+ years of Hands experience on Design fundamentals, design Assessment and Manufacturing Engineering
- Working experience with Aero engine components OEMs will be preferred.
- Exposure to Quality Management Systems
