About The Role

The Lead – Admissions will be responsible for managing the admissions team, driving efficient admissions operations, and ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students and parents.

This role requires a strong balance of team management, process ownership, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder coordination to drive enrolments and improve overall admissions effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admissions Operations & Process Management
  • Manage the student admissions team.
  • Design, review, and implement efficient and student-oriented procedures and practices for student enrolment, admission, and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving operations and admissions processes.
  • Monitor and maintain admissions policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Manage the workload of the team and ensure timely review of enrolment applications and onboarding without delays.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and successful admissions.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure timely and accurate student admissions.
  • Manage and track student applications and admissions decisions.
  • Student & Parent Interaction
  • Interview students to understand their objectives and background.
  • Provide clarifications to students and parents queries in a professional manner and build a strong knowledge base for the team to respond to such queries.
  • Follow up on enquiries through direct meetings, live chat, phone calls, and emails.
  • Advise students about the programs offered, admission procedures, eligibility, and costs involved.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving customer relations and satisfaction.
  • Team Management & Capability Building
  • Undertake tasks to build the admissions team, including recruitment activities, appraisals, review meetings, and overall team development.
  • Recruit and manage a team of admissions and operations officers for the admissions process.
  • Collaboration & Systems Enhancement
  • Work closely with the tech team to develop applications, systems, and procedures that can help the organization scale.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external partners.
  • Admissions Engagement & Outreach
  • Work proactively towards student interviews, admission publications, and information sessions.
  • Arrange orientation programs, educational workshops, and graduate programs for students and parents – both online and offline.
  • Provide support in preparing admission-related presentations and hosting student interactions.
  • Strategy Support & Enrolment Growth
  • Develop innovative communication strategies, recruitment strategies, and enrolment plans in coordination with senior management to attract and enroll more students.
  • Data Management, Reporting & Insights
  • Maintain a database of student information, telephone logs, and student feedback to generate reports for management as required.
  • Review and analyse admissions data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse and interpret admissions data to identify areas of improvement and growth.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to track admissions data and trends.

Selection Criteria

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Experience:
  • 4–7 years of experience in admissions, counselling, or sales within EdTech or education sector.
  • Prior experience in managing teams and handling admissions operations.
  • Experience in handling admissions data, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle student and parent interactions effectively.
  • Strong organisational and process management skills.
  • Team management and leadership capability.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM and admissions tracking systems, with the ability to manage lead lifecycle, track conversion funnels, and drive data-backed improvements.
