Development of Audit Strategy and Plan
- Develop comprehensive strategies for Offsite Audits and Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) to identify and assess risks including Credit, Market, Liquidity, Regulatory, IT & Security, Financial, Fraud, and Operational risks
- Create audit plans aligned with risk assessments, regulatory frameworks, and internal policies covering all business lines, customer segments, products, and channels
- Design processes ensuring effective Offsite audit and CCM coverage across credit, corporate, risk management, IT, and control functions
- Build and lead a specialised audit team for executing complex Offsite Audits and CCM reviews
- Drive efficiency in audit processes by leveraging technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for continuous control monitoring
Execution of Audit Strategy and Plan
- Conduct Offsite Audits and CCM checks adhering to internal audit standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Manage the audit plan execution to proactively identify and remediate significant control issues
- Ensure timely completion of audit plans with quality documentation and reporting
- Design and develop the audit data mart infrastructure and catalogue scripts/algorithms for data-based testing
- Generate timely Offsite Audit and CCM reports for control testing and review
- Plan and monitor key technology initiatives to enhance audit through AI/ML and continuous monitoring
Continuous Monitoring
- Implement ongoing continuous monitoring processes to assess key risks and controls across various functions and business lines
- Develop and deploy automated tests for real-time monitoring of control effectiveness
- Ensure prompt identification and resolution of significant control issues through continuous monitoring
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with regulators, board committees, senior management, and other stakeholders
- Engage proactively with internal audit leaders, business heads, and functional teams to enhance control maturity through Offsite Audits and CCM
- Share insights and best practices to improve audit quality and business controls
People Management and Capability Building
- Develop and lead a specialised audit team focused on complex Offsite Audit and CCM activities
- Stay updated on emerging audit technologies and trends including AI/ML and integrate them into audit practices
- Develop training methodologies and certification programs to build techno-functional capabilities in data science, analytics, visualization, AI/ML, and emerging technologies
- Foster talent development through effective employee engagement, coaching, and continuous learning
- Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices within the team
