We are seeking a highly skilled and creative2D Lead Slot Game Artistto lead the visual development of our slot games. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2D game art, particularly in the casino or slot game industry, and a passion for creating high-quality art that enhances player experience. You will guide a team of artists and work closely with game designers, animators, and developers to bring engaging and visually compelling slot games to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the visual direction of 2D art for slot games from concept to final asset.
- Create high-quality illustrations, symbols, UI elements, backgrounds, and characters tailored to various slot themes.
- Establish and maintain visual style guides and ensure consistency across all assets.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers to ensure artistic vision aligns with gameplay mechanics and technical constraints.
- Mentor and guide a team of 2D artists; provide feedback, art reviews, and support their growth.
- Work with animators to ensure smooth and visually appealing animations.
- Stay updated with current trends in slot game art and help innovate with new visual ideas and techniques.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new art team members.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience as a 2D artist, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality 2D art in the slot or casino gaming space.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other digital painting tools.
- Experience with Unity or other game engines is a plus.
- Solid understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of animation principles (Spine or similar tools) is a bonus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a live ops environment with frequent content updates.
- Familiarity with production pipelines and version control tools.
- Understanding of gambling regulations and how they impact art/design.
