Objective & Purpose:
Scope:
1. Packaging Material Planning & Forecasting . Forecast packaging material requirements based on approved production plans and sales forecasts . Translate supply plans into executable material plans for Laminates, Cartons, and BOPP . Coordinate closely with Supply Planners, Production Planners, and Plant teams to align material plans with production schedules 2. Inventory Management . Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid production stoppages, excess inventory, or expiry risk . Monitor daily inventory positions across plants and co‑packers and highlight risks proactively . Track and control slow‑moving and obsolete packaging material to minimize write‑off exposure 3. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) . Execute weekly MRP runs in SAP and convert PRs to POs in coordination with Procurement . Strengthen SAP MRP discipline by improving master data, lot sizing, lead times, and safety parameters . Plan replenishment cycles in line with production cadence and supplier capabilities 4. Procurement & Vendor Coordination . Work closely with Procurement teams for timely PO placement and follow‑ups . Coordinate with vendors to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quantities . Support tracking of supplier performance on OTIF and quality issues 5. Production & Operations Support . Ensure timely availability of packaging materials ahead of production start . Resolve shortages, urgent material requirements, or allocation challenges in coordination with plants, vendors, and GP . Support smooth execution during demand spikes, changeovers, and constrained scenarios 6. SLOB & Financial Risk Management . Lead weekly Partner SLOB reviews with Finance and Plant teams . Identify write‑off risks early and drive mitigation actions such as consumption acceleration, redistribution, or alternate usage . Minimize write‑off impact during packaging changeovers and SKU transitions 7. SKU Transition & Change Management . Support packaging material transitions during NPDs, renovations, or SKU rationalization . Ensure controlled run‑out of old materials and timely induction of new packs . Coordinate approvals and readiness with QA, Procurement, and Plant teams 8. Quality & Compliance . Ensure packaging materials comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards . Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material approvals, trials, and issue resolution 9. Cost Optimization . Optimize Inter‑Unit Transfers (IUTs) to balance service and freight cost . Support cost‑saving initiatives such as alternate sourcing, bulk planning, and inventory rationalization 10. Reporting & Analytics . Prepare and publish weekly material connectivity reports highlighting availability, risks, and actions . Track consumption trends, inventory health, shortages, and MRP effectiveness . Support continuous improvement in planning accuracy and process efficiency 11. KPIs (PERFORMANCE METRICS)
