Lawyer (Associate, Senior Associate, or Salary Partner) - JK

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Lawyer (Singapore-qualified Lawyer) to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of corporate and cross-border matters, and ASEAN-based transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate commercial work.

The successful individual will involve in Corporate matter plus some minor involvement in contentious matter. Depending on experience, the position may be offered as Junior Associate, Senior Associate, or Salary Partner.

Job Description:

• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and business restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on cross-border investments and regulatory compliance across ASEAN jurisdictions.
• Assist in due diligence reviews and transaction documentation for M&A and investment projects.
• Liaise with clients, including Japanese corporate clients and regional counsel, to ensure clear communication and effective deal management.
• Work collaboratively with other lawyers within the firm and coordinate with external advisors in multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare client memos, reports, or presentations as required.
• Support other contentious related matter as required

Job Requirements:

• Admitted to the Singapore Bar.
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with experience in corporate, M&A, or cross-border transactions..
• Strong understanding of Singapore and ASEAN corporate law and regulatory framework.
• Solid drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a strong advantage to liaise with Japanese speaking clients
