In-House Legal Officer – Real Estate
Location: South Bombay
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 4+ Years (Real Estate Mandatory)
Educational Qualification: LLB (Mandatory)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: In-office (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Saturday: Remote working
Key Responsibilities
1. Real Estate Legal Documentation
- Drafting and vetting of legal agreements including:
- Leave & Licence Agreements (Residential & Commercial)
- Joint Development Agreements (JDA)
- Land-related agreements including agricultural land transactions and other property transaction documents
- Conducting title due diligence and document verification
- Coordinating with advocates, consultants, developers, and landowners on transaction documentation
2. Regulatory & Compliance Work
- Liaising with:
- Sub-Registrar Offices
- Registrar of Societies
- Municipal and government authorities
- Handling society formation and property registration documentation
- Managing real estate regulatory compliances and approvals
3. Court & Site Visits
- Visiting courts and government offices as required
- Conducting site visits for legal verification and documentation
- Assisting in legal follow-ups and filing
- Visiting Collector and Tehsil offices to expedite land-related paperwork and approvals
4. Advisory & Internal Legal Support
- Providing legal opinions on land and real estate transactions
- Supporting management in dispute resolution matters
- Reviewing all sale deeds and digitizing land transaction records
- Filing, organizing, and identifying any missing documentation required for land or property deals
- Maintaining structured legal records and documentation systems
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Real Estate / Property Law
- Strong knowledge of land laws, including rural and agricultural land regulations
- Ability to converse, read and write fluently in Marathi and English
- Willingness to visit courts, government offices, registrar offices, and project sites
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and documentation skills
