KPIs

  • Launch & Project Stage:
    • Prepare, manage & ensure achievement of launch Master Schedule key deliverables in desired timeline with concerned Plant stake holders.
    • Deliver launch plan & master schedule for new launch within desired timeline.
    • Ensure all Launch issues are closed with robust actions in timely manner with stakeholders.
    • Ensure all In-Process Containments & local process deviations information is supplied to the local team.
    • Ensure timely delivery of launch documents (DoC7 (Bill of Process), FMEA, Control Plan, SOP, BOM, Change Management)
    • Prepare launch gateway readiness deck and report out status to management
  • Steady State:
    • Drive In-Process Containments & local process deviations to closure within desired timeline.
    • Adherence to JLR standards and ensure no major non-conformities in Process audits.

Ensure all T&F Process, BIW & Paint issues have robust containments, RCA & PCA within desired timeline.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

    • Lead & deploy launch plan, master schedule & ensure achievement of key deliverables & build events in desired timeline with stake holders.
    • Drive all launch & steady state cadences for Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Drive BIW & Paint issues & liase with UK team to ensure robust containments, RCA & PCA within desired timeline
    • Support & drive Equipment, Fixtures, Tools & Gauges development in India plant & ensure better alignment with global plant FTG.
    • Co-ordination role for all manufacturing and process issues on current vehicles between the overseas manufacturing plant and India
    • Ensure process and quality operational compliance by production team
    • Drive change management process for India plant.
    • Support local engineers in problem solving and improve their problem-solving skills.

Drive compliance to applicable process/quality requirements

Hard Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Automobile).
  • 8-12 years of experience in car / vehicle manufacturing engineering with 2-3 years in project management
  • Experience in project management, facility, fixtures, tools & gauges development.
  • Good working knowledge of car / vehicle manufacturing, facility commissioning, new launch, change management.
  • Proven track record in delivering results on complex issues in pressurised environment
  • Experienced problem solver and strong advocate of Quality tools in problem solving techniques

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work fully invested in achieving a successful result.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Good Problem solving & analytical skills.

Good command on English & local language (Tamil)
