We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines used for machining metal or plastic parts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manual and/or CNC lathe machines, be able to read technical drawings, and work with precision to meet production standards and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, and other machining operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
- Measure, mark, and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Adjust tools, speeds, and feeds as needed to maintain product specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lathe machines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Document production activities, material usage, and time logs as per company procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality control teams to ensure timely and quality output.
