Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Laravel Software Developer to design and develop robust, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, capable of working independently, and comfortable collaborating across international teams.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend applications using Laravel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and front-end developers
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations
- Ensure high standards of application security, scalability, and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues and production bugs
- Contribute to code reviews and enforce coding best practices
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following Laravel and PHP standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Laravel and PHP backend development
- Strong understanding of MySQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Git and agile development workflows
- Basic knowledge of cloud services (a plus)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience in building and maintaining financial or loan management systems or building USSD applications or mobile carrier integrations is a strong advantage.
