About The Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Language Expert (Indonesian) to join our Localisation team. You will play a key role in adapting viral promotional videos and ad content into Bahasa Indonesia for regional audiences. As a part of our localisation team, your responsibilities will go beyond writing, you will ensure that the localized version resonates culturally, emotionally, and linguistically with Indonesian audiences, while maintaining the core message and marketing intent of the original content.
You'll collaborate with video editors and voice-over artists to write compelling voiceover scripts, review and approve final video outputs, and ensure quality control of localized content.
Key Responsibilities
- Your primary responsibility is to repurpose and adapt existing content into Bahasa Indonesia, ensuring every localized version is linguistically precise, culturally authentic, and aligned with the original intent and marketing impact of the source material.
- Ensure emotional tone, messaging, and storytelling remain intact in the localized version.
- Review and approve final video outputs, ensuring alignment with brand tone and message.
- Collaborate closely with video editors and the creative team throughout the production cycle.
- Perform linguistic quality checks for accuracy, tone, grammar, and cultural sensitivity.
- Adapt original content to suit Indonesian-speaking audiences without losing marketing intent or impact.
Skills & Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Bahasa Indonesia (reading, writing, and speaking) with excellent command over language expression and grammar.
- 1–3 years of experience in language expertise, copywriting, advertising, or content localization.
- Familiarity with post-production workflows and basic video review tools, as well as AI tools such as ElevenLabs, ChatGPT, etc.
- Copywriting: Ability to craft clear, engaging, and emotionally resonant messages that drive audience engagement and action.
- Marketing Understanding: Familiarity with digital marketing, branding, and Indonesian audience targeting.
- Storytelling Skills: Ability to use narrative techniques to make content memorable and relatable for Indonesian viewers.
- Translation & Localization: Experience in adapting content for Indonesian audiences, maintaining cultural context.
- Adaptability & Research: Able to grasp different tones and messaging styles across varied content formats.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience in Indonesian digital media, television promos, or regional advertising campaigns.
- Understanding of Indonesian cultural trends, local dialects and consumer behavior across demographics.
- Candidates with proficiency in Hindi and English will be preferred.
