Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Interior Design Strategy function. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, deep design expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate design excellence across our portfolio. The candidate will shape interior design standards, drive strategic projects, and foster innovation to deliver exceptional customer experiences and product differentiation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Enhancement
- Define and institutionalize an interior design vision aligned with global and Indian best practices.
- Review and enhance design submissions by architects for units, lobbies, and clubhouses.
- Curate micro-market-specific design strategies to enhance appeal and address customer needs.
Strategic Projects
- Identify inefficiencies in design execution; propose and implement pan-India design improvement initiatives.
- Conduct and present cost-benefit analyses for new design initiatives to secure strategic funding.
- Benchmark competitors and incorporate insights into design standards.
- Lead the standardization of design practices across all GPL projects, conducting audits for compliance.
Interior Design & Customer Experience
- Develop high-impact customer experience spaces in sales galleries and marketing offices.
- Oversee design and experiential elements of amenities to reinforce brand consistency and quality.
- Drive uniformity in design across all touchpoints to strengthen brand identity.
R&D and Innovation
- Integrate sustainability and net-zero goals into design thinking and material selection.
- Conduct market research to identify innovative design trends, materials, and technologies.
- Champion innovation in on-site design implementation and execution practices.
Who Are We Looking For
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred (Interior Design / Strategic Design / Architecture / Urban Design).
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in interior design, with a strong background in strategic planning and project leadership.
- Proven track record of handling large-scale real estate or hospitality projects.
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of interior design trends, standards, materials, and execution.
- Proficiency in tools: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills using PowerPoint, InDesign or equivalent.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with an ability to link design thinking to customer experience and commercial value.
