Job Description

Job Designation: Laboratory Assistant – Physiotherapy

Job Summary:

To support the effective functioning of the Physiotherapy Laboratory by assisting in practical sessions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized lab environment for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty during laboratory practical sessions.
  • Prepare and arrange equipment and materials prior to classes.
  • Maintain, clean, and ensure proper functioning of physiotherapy equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory hygiene and safety standards.
  • Maintain inventory and records of equipment and consumables.
  • Report any equipment faults or damages to the concerned authority.
  • Assist in procurement and stock management of lab supplies.
  • Support students in handling equipment during practical sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and safety norms.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy or allied healthcare field.

Professional Certifications

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or relevant healthcare certification (preferred).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a physiotherapy lab, hospital, or clinical setup (preferred).

Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of physiotherapy equipment and techniques.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assist students and faculty efficiently.
  • Basic record-keeping and inventory management skills.
