Job Title: Laboratory Assistant – Electrochemistry
Location: Atria University, Bengaluru (Full-Time, On-Site)
Overview: Manage daily operations across the undergraduate chemistry teaching lab and the dedicated hydrogen research lab, providing direct technical, operational, and safety support to faculty and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Lab Preparation: Prepare reagents, solutions, and equipment setups for chemistry student labs and electrochemistry research projects.
- Equipment & Inventory: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instruments; log experimental data and track chemical stock.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce laboratory safety standards, ensure proper hazardous material labeling, and maintain clean lab spaces.
- Academic Support: Assist faculty and students during active lab sessions and experiments.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Experience: Hands-on lab skills, familiarity with standard chemistry/electrochemistry equipment, and routine maintenance.
- Core Skills: Knowledge of chemical safety protocols, strong inventory tracking, keen analytical skills, and clear communication.
Direct experience with fuel cells, electrolysers, batteries etc. is preferable. Fabrication and drawing experience will be favourably considered.
