• Collect, receive, label, and prepare patient samples such as blood, urine, and other specimens.
• Perform laboratory tests according to established procedures and protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, stains, and other laboratory materials.
• Follow proper sample handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
• Record test results accurately in laboratory registers or computer systems.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain laboratory work areas and equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety rules and infection-control procedures.
• Dispose of biological and chemical waste safely according to guidelines.
• Maintain adequate stocks of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
• Stay updated on laboratory procedures, safety standards, and new testing techniques.
