Job Summary
The Lab Technician – Idea Lab will support the day-to-day operations of the Idea Lab by maintaining equipment, assisting students and faculty during projects, ensuring laboratory safety, and facilitating innovation and prototyping activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor Idea Lab equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Assist students, faculty, and industry partners in using lab facilities and equipment.
- Support prototyping, fabrication, and innovation projects.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Maintain inventory records and coordinate procurement of lab materials.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Prepare the lab for workshops, training sessions, competitions, and industry engagement activities.
- Maintain documentation related to lab usage, equipment maintenance, and project support.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in laboratory operations, makerspaces, innovation labs, or prototyping environments is preferred.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and tools.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
