The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy is a world leader in the area of Power Quality Solutions (PQS). Hitachi Energy was the first to introduce Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) technology to the power industry and has delivered solutions for the more than 50 years now. The FACTS technology uses a very high-end system for its control, protection and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard busses and fiber optic communication links. They operate on very high standard application software developed by Hitachi Energy. As the system being continuously evolving, becoming more complex and customized, great deal of test & verification are required.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Coordinate with Electrical & Control Engineers for wiring modification in the cubicles, test racks & Test equipment's.

  • Managing lab inventory. Ensure smooth execution of lab activities including movement of equipment, inventory management, testing assistance and documentation for power quality control and protection systems.

  • Managing inward and outward materials including cubicles. Managing test equipment's tracking & calibration.

  • Maintenance of FST Test equipment's and AC to DC converters. Selection of right test tools after coordinate with the vendor.

  • To carry out wiring activity in Control & Protection panels. Coordinate with Electrical & Control Engineers for wiring modification in the cubicles & test racks. Test equipment's.

  • Preparation of hand markup as built drawings. Troubleshoot earth fault in Ac or DC system.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Qualification: Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 2 -3 years of experience /Fresher.

  • Additional Criteria: Electrical wireman license holder. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.

  • Knowledge in material management. Knowledge in packing procedure.

  • Knowledge in AC & DC Supply. Inventory management.

  • Good prowess in MS office, especially Excel.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
