Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end laboratory operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant workflow.
- Lead quality control and R&D activities for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Develop, optimize, and validate new formulations and analytical methods.
- Prepare, implement, and maintain laboratory SOPs, equipment SOPs, testing procedures, and R&D documentation.
- Manage calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance verification of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate laboratory personnel to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor inventory of chemicals, reagents, glassware, laboratory consumables, and testing standards.
- Maintain accurate records, analyze test results, prepare technical reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in industrial laboratory operations, quality control, and R&D, preferably in chemical manufacturing industries.
- Experience in silicate manufacturing, alkaline inorganic chemicals, specialty chemicals, detergents, construction chemicals, foundry chemicals, refractories, or related process industries will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, formulation development, laboratory equipment, SOP management, quality systems, and laboratory safety regulations.
- Experience in handling laboratory audits, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership, team management, documentation, problem-solving, and project execution skills.
