Perform detailed analysis of Rubber Compound Test Report, Raw Material Test Report and Final Product Test Report under new and sustaining product development for rubber braid and spiral hose
Responsible for identifying new and/or alternative raw materials essential for product development and cost savings to rubber compounds and hose products
Provide support for new and sustaining product development activities
Maintaining records & handling-controlled documentation parts related to Rubber Compound and Finished products.
Key Accountabilities
Analysis of Rubber Compound test results (rheometric and physical) and keep tracking of properties for any shift in trend
Conduct type tests of Rubber compound (volume swell, extractable, etc.) and maintain records
Raw Material development from lab scale testing to follow up in production
Support in compound development through compound testing and analysis
Responsible for conducting product test as per test frequency and maintaining test records
Support in product development activities
Responsible for releasing production compound batches based on rheometric test
Responsible for disposition of compound batches as per advice from Engineering Manager
Lab test record documentation as per ISO norms
Responsible for generating savings from raw material development
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Polymer/Chemical)
0-2 years of engineering and manufacturing experience and knowledge of raw material testing and product testing,
Knowledge of functioning of laboratory equipment used in rubber industry like Rheometer, Mooney viscometer, UTM, etc.
Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
PC Literate (AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Access, Project, Lotus Notes preferred).
