Job Description:

The Lab Assistant in the Department of Chemistry will be responsible for providing support to the faculty and students in the laboratory. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the laboratory and equipment, preparing materials for experiments, and assisting students during experiments. The Lab Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring that the laboratory is safe and that all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Prepare materials for experiments
• Assist students during experiments
• Ensure safety protocols are followed
• Maintain records of laboratory activities
• Clean and maintain the laboratory
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
• Experience working in a laboratory setting
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
