SRA / RA – Credit Risk Review (Commercial Real Estate) – Banking & Financial Services – Gurugram – 2+ Years

We are looking for professionals with 2+ years of experience in Credit Risk Review, CRE Loan Review, Credit Underwriting, or Commercial Banking Risk functions. The role requires strong expertise in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) portfolios, multifamily real estate analysis, financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, and portfolio monitoring. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, understanding of commercial banking risk frameworks, and hands-on experience in credit assessment and loan review processes.

Responsibilities

1. Conducting comprehensive credit risk reviews across Commercial Real Estate (CRE) portfolios including Multifamily, Office, Retail, Hospitality, and Mixed-use exposures.
2. Analysing borrower financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, rent rolls, and tax returns.
3. Spreading financial statements using tools such as Sageworks, CreditLens, or similar financial spreading platforms.
4. Assessing borrower repayment capacity through DSCR, LTV, NOI, leverage, liquidity, and occupancy analysis.
5. Reviewing underwriting quality, collateral valuation reports, covenant compliance, guarantor strength, and loan documentation.
6. Preparing annual review reports covering profitability, liquidity, repayment trends, collateral analysis, and overall credit quality.
7. Evaluating risk ratings and identifying weaknesses in credit structures and underwriting practices.
8. Supporting portfolio monitoring activities related to criticised and classified CRE loan exposures.
9. Analysing refinancing risks, tenant concentration, market volatility, and property-level risks across CRE portfolios.
10. Ensuring adherence to internal credit policies, U.S. banking regulations, and CRE underwriting standards.
11. Collaborating with underwriting, compliance, credit administration, and portfolio management teams.
12. Supporting stakeholders with portfolio analysis, ad-hoc research requests, and workflow management activities.
13. Engaging with client teams regularly to discuss portfolio reviews and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

1. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Credit Risk Review, CRE Loan Review, Credit Underwriting, or Commercial Banking Risk functions.
2. Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending and Multifamily Real Estate portfolios.
3. Hands-on experience in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation, and covenant testing.
4. Strong understanding of DSCR, LTV, NOI analysis, occupancy trends, and credit risk assessment methodologies.
5. Exposure to portfolio monitoring, criticised/classified loans, and risk rating methodologies preferred.
6. Familiarity with U.S. commercial banking regulations and CRE underwriting frameworks will be an added advantage.
7. Experience using Sageworks, CreditLens, or similar financial spreading tools preferred.
8. Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and report writing skills.
9. CA / CPA / MBA Finance / Graduate in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field preferred.
