At Control Z, you'll be part of a mission-driven team that combines technology, craftsmanship, and sustainability to give devices a second life.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled L4 iPhone Repair Engineer with strong hands-on experience in motherboard-level diagnostics and repair.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling complex iPhone hardware failures, performing micro-soldering and component-level repairs, and independently troubleshooting issues that go beyond conventional part replacement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform L4-level motherboard repair and troubleshooting on iPhones.
  • Diagnose and repair complex IC, CPU, power, charging, display, audio, and network-related issues.
  • Perform component-level and circuit-level repairs on iPhone motherboards.
  • Carry out micro-soldering, jumper work, component replacement, and rework.
  • Use schematics, board views, multimeters, DC power supplies, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults.
  • Troubleshoot short circuits, power issues, boot failures, no-display issues, charging failures, and network-related faults.
  • Identify root causes of motherboard failures and execute appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform post-repair testing and ensure devices meet defined quality standards.
  • Maintain accuracy, productivity, and quality while handling multiple repair cases.
  • Document repair findings, failure types, and resolutions to improve the repair process.
  • Stay updated on iPhone motherboard technologies, common failure patterns, and advanced repair techniques.
What We're Looking For
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in iPhone motherboard / L4-level repair.
  • Strong understanding of iPhone hardware architecture and motherboard components.
  • Good knowledge of schematics, board views, and circuit-level troubleshooting.
  • Strong micro-soldering skills and experience with SMD/component-level repair.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex motherboard failures.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment such as microscope, multimeter, DC power supply, soldering station, hot air station, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to repair quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a target-driven repair environment.
Why Join Control Z
  • Work on advanced iPhone motherboard-level repairs.
  • Be part of a fast-growing technology and sustainability-focused company.
  • Opportunity to sharpen your expertise in L4 repair and advanced diagnostics.
  • Work with a team that is changing the way people think about device repair, reuse, and sustainability.
  • Build expertise in a high-demand technical skill while contributing to a more sustainable future.
