Job Description

Job Title: L3 Network Engineer (Cisco Software-Defined Access – SDA)

Location - Navi Mumbai ( Belapur/Seawoods)

Availability: 9 hours and 5 days ( Should remotely work on P1 issues post non-working hours)

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled L3 Network Engineer to join our Software-Defined Access (SDA) project. As an embedded Red Badge contractor, you will be a key contributor to our engineering team, responsible for the design, deployment, and advanced troubleshooting of complex enterprise network environments utilizing Cisco SDA architecture. You will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our software-defined network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Implementation: Deploy Cisco SDA solutions, including fabric design, control plane, and data plane configurations.

Technical Support: Provide L3-level support for complex network incidents, conducting thorough root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing robust, permanent resolutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to integrate SDA solutions seamlessly with existing network infrastructure and corporate security policies.

Optimization: Perform comprehensive network performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of all SDA fabric components.

Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including detailed network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.

Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members regarding SDA best practices, deployment strategies, and management.

Compliance: Ensure all network operations and designs adhere to Cisco security standards and industry best practices.

Required Technical Skills

Expertise in SDA: Deep technical knowledge of Cisco SDA architecture, including Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, and Catalyst switching platforms.

Core Networking: Strong command of routing and switching protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, and LISP.

Automation (Good to Have): Demonstrated experience in network automation and programmability using Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.

Troubleshooting: Proven ability to resolve high-level, complex issues within enterprise-scale network environments.

Security Integration: Proficiency in Cisco security solutions, particularly Cisco ISE

Operational Excellence: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively within global, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

CCNP or CCIE certification (Enterprise/Routing & Switching) is highly preferred.

Extensive, demonstrated experience in enterprise network engineering and L3 support.
