Description
We are seeking a skilled L3 Language Editor for our RSC ACS team in India. This role involves editing and proofreading a variety of written content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language editing and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency in line with established guidelines.
- Ensure that language and terminology used in documents are appropriate and accessible to the target audience.
- Collaborate with writers, researchers, and other team members to enhance the quality of written materials.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to authors on language usage and style improvements.
- Maintain a high standard of quality in all editorial work to meet project deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in language editing or a related field.
- Proficiency in English language with excellent grammar and punctuation skills.
- Familiarity with style guides (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) and the ability to apply them appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors in written content.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
