L3 Application Support

Insight Global is seeking an L3 Application Support Specialist to join a Production Management team supporting a large, global banking firm in Bangalore, India. This individual will join a team of global Level 3 application specialists responsible for handling escalated tickets from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, providing coverage across more than 50 front‑office trading applications. The role requires proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language such as Java or Python, with hands‑on responsibility for debugging existing code, performing enhancements, fixing and maintaining applications and scripts, and supporting upgrades as needed. While the role does not require building applications from scratch, the specialist will be expected to rewrite and refactor existing code to resolve production issues. This is a long‑term contract position that will sit onsite in the financial district five days per week.

Must Haves:

• Experience in a production support/engineering role
• Experience writing SQL queries in databases, data fixes
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g. java, python)
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex technical issues
• Experience in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical terms to functional verbiage
• Strong stakeholder management experience

Plusses:

• Prior experience supporting front-office systems is highly desirable, but the candidate must demonstrate a willingness to embrace the challenges of such a role
• Ticketing system experience - AppHero or ServiceNow
• Financial services experiences
• Relational Database experience with Sybase or Oracle
