Role Description The L2 Network Engineer will work on-site in Vadodara in a full-time capacity, providing advanced support for the organization's and clients network infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring network performance, handling escalated incidents, and performing root-cause analysis to ensure high availability and reliability. The role involves configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices, as well as implementing network changes and supporting network design improvements. The L2 Network Engineer will collaborate with L1 support, system administrators, and other IT teams to resolve complex issues, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards. The role may also include participation in deployment projects, testing new solutions, and providing guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering for managing and supporting medium to large-scale environments.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve network incidents and performance issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Network Security, including configuring firewalls, access control, and secure network policies.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Network Design to assist in planning, implementing, and optimizing network architectures.
- Relevant hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) is beneficial.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent vendor certifications are preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field is advantageous.
