Details of Roles and Responsibilities as below:
Network Management:
- Management of network devices including firewalls, switches, routers, and access points.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of network infrastructure at the Shamirpet unit.
- Support network operations and provide escalation support to the corporate and Bidar network teams.
Device Support:
- Cisco FTD Firewalls: Manage, monitor, and configure the two Cisco FTD firewalls ensuring security policies, VPN configurations, and overall security features are in place and working effectively.
- Cisco Catalyst & Aruba Switches: Support and manage the 110 Cisco Catalyst and Aruba switches, ensuring proper configuration, optimal performance, and troubleshooting any issues.
- Aruba Wireless Access Points: Ensure the functionality and performance of the 233 Aruba access points, including setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring stable wireless connections.
Patch Management:
- Responsible for the patching of network devices (Cisco FTD Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst, Aruba devices) to ensure they are up to date with the latest firmware, software updates, and security patches.
- Ensure that patching is done in accordance with the company's security policy and best practices.
Security Remediation (VAPT Findings):
- Address and remediate any findings from Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) related to network devices and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and help mitigate any risks identified in the VAPT process.
Network Monitoring:
- Proactively monitor network tools (e.g., network performance, traffic, bandwidth, device health) to ensure the integrity and availability of the network.
- Identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Manage network monitoring systems and provide reports to the network teams at the Corporate and Bidar locations.
ISP Link Management:
- Oversee the two ISP links, ensuring they provide the required bandwidth and are performing optimally.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, liaise with ISP support if necessary, and ensure business continuity.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Regular coordination with the Corporate and Bidar network teams to address cross-site network issues, updates, and performance concerns.
- Prepare and deliver monthly network status reports to the management team, highlighting key metrics, performance issues, and actions taken.
Onsite Resource Availability:
- Full-time onsite resource available to handle all day-to-day network operations at the Shamirpet Unit.
- The resource will be the primary point of contact for all network-related issues and will work closely with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
