Scope EDB Postgres Portfolio

Technical expertise: Candidate should have architecting capability on Postgres and associated EDB software products as listed below.

• Core PostgreSQL Database Expertise - The candidate must have deep, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL versions 14, 15, 16, and 17

• High Availability (HA) and Replication - The resource must possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in configuring and maintaining PostgreSQL for high availability. Hands on Experience on EFM and PGD will be good fit

• Back-up and Restore Hands on experience on Barman

• Observability Good knowledge on PEM

Project Execution: The job involves preparing project blue print, Risk assessment, defining Success Criteria, pre-requisites, create test scenarios, run performance testing, eliminate identified vulnerabilities and go live in production from EDB Postgres Database perspective.

Escalation Handling: Quick identification of root cause of any major outages, provide permanent solution or workaround to bring service back to normal, provide Root cause Analysis and suggest process improvement.

Major activities: To participate in major activities like upgrade, DR Drill, applying hot fixes at weekends and lean period of banking activities

Shift: The job may involve working in shift and planned downtimes.

Communication: As L2/L3 Engineer one need to interact with various stakeholders of Bank as well as leadership and EDB back ends. Clear communication skill is key to the success of the role.
