Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Job Purpose

Seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer with deep Kubernetes administration expertise and experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. The role is focused on Kubernetes policy management, governance, security, and platform operations, ensuring scalable, compliant, and reliable Kubernetes environments through automation, standardization, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Kubernetes administration, cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands on experience operating cloud platforms, primarily AWS or Azure.
• Hands on expertise with Kubernetes management including upgrading and patching
• Experience in creating and managing policies for cloud workloads
• scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, and YAML.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD, for infrastructure automation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, monitoring, and backup concepts.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments and resolving operational incidents.
• Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience design principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with application, DevOps, and security teams.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is an advantage.
• AWS or Azure certifications (Associate or Professional) are desirable.
