Job Description
We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our Drive team and help build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that power our platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain services that manage data, storage, synchronization, and integrations while ensuring excellent performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices for Drive-related products and features.
- Build scalable and fault-tolerant systems capable of handling large volumes of data and user requests.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Optimize database performance, query efficiency, and storage architecture.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements in performance, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute to documentation, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Go, Python, Node.js, or C++.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on file storage, synchronization, content management, or data-intensive systems.
- Understanding of security, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, caching, and message queues.
