Kong API

• Creation of Routes, Services & plugins Kong.
• Design, implement, and maintain Kong configurations and custom plugins to meet business and technical requirements.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring seamless operation of API services.
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies for API management.
• Continuously analyse system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Kong with existing systems and workflows.
• Provide support for incident resolution and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in API gateway operations with a strong focus on Kong.
• Proficiency in Kong API gateway, Lua scripting, and related technologies. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of API security practices, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and availability post-migration.
• Hands-on experience in API management platforms, strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, and proven expertise in API gateway configuration, security, and performance optimization.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the Kong API gateway, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Hands on experience for installation of Kong API gateway in hybrid mode topology.
