Job Description

  • Direct and assist Stewards to enhance the efficiency of kitchen clean-up processes.
  • Ensure proper water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning are maintained and documented.
  • Assist with banquet plate-ups and various tasks as directed by cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Provide necessary items to cooks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support banquet and buffet operations by transporting supplies and maintaining adequate stock.
  • Return cleaned dishes and kitchenware to proper storage locations.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment, including hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

Leadership & Team Support:

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Promote positive working relationships and support team goals.
  • Set an example for safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all company safety and security protocols.
  • Report maintenance issues, accidents, and unsafe work conditions promptly.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Guest Interaction:

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
