Role Description: The Key Donor Officer is a contract, on-site role based in Delhi, India, focused on building and nurturing relationships with major individual donors and institutional supporters. The role involves managing a portfolio of key donors, developing tailored engagement plans, and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication that aligns donor interests with WWF-India's conservation priorities. Responsibilities include preparing impact reports and presentations, coordinating donor visits and events, and collaborating with program teams to gather updates and success stories. The Key Donor Officer will also support prospect research, contribute to fundraising strategies, and maintain accurate records in donor management systems to support long-term stewardship.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in donor relations, fundraising, or account management, preferably with high-net-worth individuals or institutional partners.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in proposal writing, report preparation, and crafting compelling impact narratives that connect donors to conservation outcomes.
  • Ability to coordinate events, donor field visits, and engagement activities, working effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems, along with solid organisational and data management skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental or social sector issues, and a genuine commitment to WWF-India's mission and values.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, social sciences, environmental studies, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Capacity to work on-site in Delhi, manage multiple priorities under deadlines, and uphold ethical, inclusive, and gender-neutral practices.
