Job Description – Key Accounts Manager (KAM) – Transportation
The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) – Transportation will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, ensuring seamless transportation services, driving revenue growth, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. The role involves close coordination with operations, pricing, and finance teams to deliver efficient logistics solutions and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with assigned key accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries and escalations.
- Achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and business growth.
- Coordinate with operations and fleet teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Monitor service performance, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction.
- Handle contract renewals, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare account performance reports and maintain CRM records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / MBA preferred in Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in Key Account Management within transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
Skills Required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of transportation and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel as per business requirements.
