Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager – Sponsorship Sales to join our growing exhibitions team. The role focuses on driving high-value sponsorship revenue for our premium B2B trade exhibitions and conferences, including flagship events such as Lighting World & Hometech Expo, Bharat Smart Factory & Automation Expo, IPCA Electronics Expo, India Surface Treatment & Coat Expo, and others.
You will build and manage long-term relationships with key corporate accounts, industry associations, government bodies, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate will excel at consultative selling, understanding client marketing and business objectives, and crafting customized sponsorship packages that deliver exceptional ROI in the context of Make in India, Industry 4.0, sustainability, and smart technology themes.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prospect, and acquire new sponsorship partners from target industries (Lighting & Electrical, Smart Home/IoT, Automation & Robotics, Electronics/PCB, Surface Treatment, Medical & Pharma Tech, etc.).
• Manage an existing portfolio of key accounts, nurturing relationships with senior decision-makers (Marketing Heads, CEOs, Business Development Leaders, Association Secretaries).
• Develop and present compelling, tailored sponsorship proposals and packages (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Category Sponsors, etc.), including branding, speaking opportunities, buyer-seller meets, workshops, awards, and digital visibility.
• Achieve and exceed annual sponsorship revenue targets through proactive outreach, negotiations, and contract closures.
• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to create high-impact sponsorship deliverables and post-event ROI reports.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor events, and potential sponsors; maintain a robust CRM pipeline.
• Coordinate with internal teams for seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables (booth setup, session management, VIP invitations, etc.).
• Represent the company at industry networking events, launches, and association meetings.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to leadership.
• Work closely with associations for co-branded sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 4–8 years of proven experience in sponsorship sales, key account management, or corporate sales, preferably in the exhibitions, events, media, or B2B services sector.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a high-value consultative sales environment.
• Existing network in manufacturing, engineering, technology, or related industrial sectors is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with government/PSU clients, industry associations, or large corporates is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (English and Hindi).
• Ability to understand complex B2B buying cycles and craft value-based proposals.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build C-level relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
