We strive to take payments beyond an enabler and an instrument to drive revenue and user growth for our merchants. Online Payment Gateway is Paytm's B2B Business regulated by RBI as it allows only authorized entities to conduct PA PG (Payment Aggregator Payment Gateway) business. This team is responsible for growing the penetration of Paytm's PA PG business in the Indian merchants.
About The Role
We are looking for a highly driven Enterprise Sales professional with a strong hunting mindset to acquire and onboard new enterprise merchants for Paytm Payment Gateway. This is primarily a new business acquisition role focused on identifying, engaging and closing enterprise opportunities. While account nurturing forms part of the role, the primary expectation is consistent new merchant acquisition, revenue generation and market expansion.
Expectations/ Requirements
Drive new enterprise merchant acquisition by identifying, prospecting and closing strategic accounts.Own the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation, hunting, solutioning, commercial discussions and merchant onboarding.Generate new business opportunities through self-sourcing, networking, referrals and market intelligence.Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of enterprise prospects to consistently achieve acquisition targets.Engage CXOs and decision makers to understand business needs and position Paytm Payment Gateway solutions.Manage relationships with newly acquired merchants during onboarding and activation.Drive upsell and cross-sell of UPI, Cards, Net Banking, Wallets, EMI and other payment solutions.Partner with Product, Technology, Operations and Integration teams for successful merchant onboarding.Monitor GMV, transaction trends and revenue growth across acquired merchants.Negotiate commercials and contracts while ensuring timely closures.Track competition, market trends and white-space opportunities.Deliver monthly and quarterly acquisition, activation, GMV and revenue targets.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).5+ years of Enterprise Sales, New Business Development, Merchant Acquisition or Strategic Sales experience in Payments, FinTech or BFSI.Proven track record of enterprise hunting and achieving acquisition targets.Excellent stakeholder management, consultative selling, negotiation and presentation skills.Understanding of Payment Gateway, Merchant Acquiring, UPI, Cards and Digital Payments ecosystem.
Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role :
Strong hunter mindset with passion for acquiring new enterprise merchants.Comfortable with outbound prospecting and CXO engagement.Experience in enterprise payments/fintech preferred.Candidates seeking predominantly account management/farming roles may not find this role aligned.
