Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Key Account Manager - MT to drive distribution, visibility, and revenue growth across Modern Trade channels. The role requires strong execution skills, distributor management, and hands-on experience in FMCG sales.

  • Manage and grow key modern trade accounts such as Reliance Retail, DMart, Metro, Spencer's, Star Bazaar, and other regional chains.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned with sales and business objectives.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales growth while ensuring achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations related to listings, promotions, visibility, pricing, and annual contracts.
  • Ensure strong in-store execution, shelf visibility, planogram compliance, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and stock availability.
  • Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and account profitability; take corrective actions when required.
  • Identify opportunities for new product listings, distribution expansion, and category growth.
  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and retailer insights to recommend growth strategies.
  • Manage trade spends, promotional budgets, and ensure optimum ROI on investments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with category managers, buyers, and key stakeholders within retail accounts.

Requirement

  • 4–5 years of experience in Modern Trade Sales, Key Account Management, or FMCG Sales.
  • Strong experience handling national and regional modern trade chains.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large retail accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
