Job Description
The Key Account Manager (KAM) CNS is responsible for developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across hospitals, specialty clinics, and healthcare providers. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the CNS therapy area, market dynamics, and customer needs to drive sales performance, ensure customer satisfaction, and support long-term business growth.
Essential FunctionsAccount Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related requirements and issue resolution.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement strategic account plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify business opportunities and drive initiatives to expand account potential.
- Support formulary inclusion, protocol development, and patient access programs.
Sales Performance
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for the CNS portfolio.
- Track account performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Drive brand growth through effective execution of account strategies.
Market Analysis
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
- Stay updated on CNS treatment pathways, regulatory updates, and therapy advancements.
- Use data-driven insights for business planning.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Supply Chain).
- Align internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of account plans.
- Facilitate scientific and business discussions between customers and internal teams.
Reporting
- Provide periodic reports on business performance, account progress, and market intelligence.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
Additional Responsibilities
- Organize and support CMEs, scientific meetings, and patient awareness programs.
- Identify opportunities for tender business and institutional collaborations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Travel as required for customer engagement.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Business or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales / key account management experience.
- Preferably in CNS therapy (Migraine / Multiple Sclerosis).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing institutional business.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
