Roles & responsibilities
KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) AI Foundry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join its dynamic team as a tester. This role is critical in ensuring that AI models are seamlessly integrated into business applications and workflows, delivering reliable and high-quality functionality across diverse use cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing principles, AI model behavior, and system integration practices.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of testers/engineers to deliver high‑quality AI and application testing outcomes, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage team capacity, task allocation, and delivery commitments to ensure timely execution across multiple workstreams while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Act as the primary point of coordination with engineering, data science, and stakeholder teams to resolve issues, remove blockers, and ensure alignment with project goals.
2. AI Model Integration Validation
- Ensure AI models are correctly embedded into application workflows/systems.
- Validate input/output data formats and compatibility with application interfaces.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand model inputs, outputs, and any potential biases or edge cases that need specific testing.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot integration issues.
3. Functional Testing of AI Features
- Design and execute test cases to verify AI-driven functionalities.
- Validate that AI outputs align with expected business logic and user requirements.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new AI features don't break existing functionality.
4. Test Automation and Tooling
- Develop automated test scripts for continuous integration pipelines.
- Utilize tools like Selenium, Postman, or custom scripts to test APIs and UI components.
- Maintain and update test suites as models and applications evolve.
5. Performance and Reliability Testing
- Assess AI model response times and system performance under load.
- Monitor for latency, throughput, and resource utilization during AI operations.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results clearly and comprehensively.
- Provide feedback and reports to development and data science teams.
- Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Work Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on integration and functional testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman), SQL for database testing
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to document clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Ability to leverage automated testing frameworks & tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
