Role Description

We are seeking skilled K–12 U.S. Assessment Item Writers with expertise in NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), CCSS (Common Core State Standards), and ELA (English Language Arts). This is a full-time role based in Noida, requiring consistent in-office collaboration (Work From Office - WFO). Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing high-quality, standard-aligned assessment items, conducting research to ensure accuracy, and adhering to educational guidelines for K–12 students in the United States.

We are hiring Mid-Level Assessment Item Writers to build high-quality, standards-aligned content for US K–12 programs.

This is a production + thinking role — you will create original assessment items and also work in a Human-in-the-Loop AI workflow, refining AI-generated drafts into instructionally sound content.

• Develop standards-aligned assessment items (MCQs & short response) for K–12
• Work across NGSS, CCSS, and ELA frameworks
• Review and critically edit AI-generated content
• Create multiple variations from core concepts
• Tag items with standards, DOK levels, and difficulty
• Maintain consistent output (10+ high-quality items/day)

• 2–5+ years of experience in assessment writing / instructional content
• Strong understanding of US curriculum standards (NGSS, CCSS, ELA)
• Excellent command of English grammar and academic tone
• Ability to design effective MCQs (strong distractors) & short-response items
• Experience with e-learning platforms / structured authoring tools
• Detail-oriented with ability to work at scale under deadlines

• Proven experience in assessment item writing (not generic content writing)
• Clear understanding of learning objectives, DOK levels, and difficulty calibration
• Ability to substantially improve AI-generated drafts
