We build Cordia®, a healthcare app used by real care teams to manage patient profiles, care plans, diet plans, prescriptions, and the admin tools behind them. Our platform helps healthcare providers deliver more coordinated, personalized, and data-driven care for people living with chronic conditions. By combining modern software engineering with international healthcare standards such as FHIR, we're making digital healthcare more connected, scalable, and accessible for both clinicians and patients.
About the roleThis is a trainee role designed for someone early in their career. You'll start by fixing bugs and building small features on a live product, and we'll grow you into a strong full-stack developer over time. You'll work closely with senior developers, designers, and our backend team, with mentorship along the way.
You'll join as a trainee, and as you find your feet and show what you can do, we'll bring you on as a full-time, permanent member of the team. Growing you into that role is the goal from day one.
You don't need to know our full stack on day one. If you have solid fundamentals and a real appetite to learn, we'll teach you the rest.
What you'll actually need• A genuine interest in learning to code well — most of what you need for this job, you'll learn here
• Comfort with at least one programming language and the basics of how the web works (HTML, CSS, and how a browser talks to a server)
• Attention to detail and clear communication — you can explain what you did and ask good questions
• An interest in building software that helps healthcare teams
A CS or related degree is welcome, but so is a bootcamp, self-taught background, or any path that got you here. If you're excited about the role but don't tick every box, please still apply.
What you'll learn and work withThese are the tools our team uses. We expect you to grow into them, not arrive knowing them:
• Angular & TypeScript — components, routing, and forms
• HTML, CSS & Bootstrap — building responsive, accessible UI
• REST & GraphQL APIs — connecting the interface to backend data
• Git — branches, pull requests, and code reviews
• Testing — writing and running automated tests so your changes ship with confidence
• AI coding & design tools — you'll have hands-on access to modern AI tools for both building and designing, and learn to use them effectively and responsibly
• AWS and RxJS — useful later on; a plus if you've seen them, but we'll teach you
What you'll do• Fix bugs and build small UI features on patient-facing workflows
• Work with designers and backend developers to ship real functionality
• Write clean, readable code and learn our codebase over time
• Write and maintain tests for the features and fixes you ship
• Test your changes on desktop and mobile
• Learn to handle patient data carefully and responsibly — we'll show you how
Nice to have• Any web project from college, an internship, or your own time — show us a repo, a side project, or anything you've built
• Some UX/UI design sense, or experience with Figma — a plus, not a requirement
• Any exposure to Angular, React, or another modern framework
What we offer• One-on-one mentorship on Angular, AWS, and healthcare workflows
• Hands-on work on a live product, not throwaway exercises
• Access to AI coding and design tools as part of your everyday workflow
